For those that haven't had the chance to check it out in previous years, I find it to be a pretty good festival.
There are lots of great food vendors.
There are a few places that sell clothing that would be garb appropriate.
You can find hand carved long bows, replica swords, a variety of leather and animal skins, and the odd trinket to add to your feasting garb.
You can also build up the old walking endurance as it usually takes more than 2 hours to take a quick look at all the booths there.
Fury is organizing an outing to the festival for the IPFW club (since it is just down the road beside the Coliseum).
Sat. 18th. 11am -4pm meet @ Cole commons.
P.S.
They also have a section dedicated to blacksmiths (copper and tin smiths as well) which I always find interesting.
There will be live entertainment in the form of bagpipes, fife and drum corps, cloggers, and folksingers.
And there are usually alpacas there, for those of you who love adorably soft quadrapeds.
Caution: With all of the rock candy, root beer, corn chowder, pork burgers, ox tail soup, apple dumplings, apple fritters, pounds of fudge, corn on a stick, pickles on a stick, and half eaten carmel apples it is not uncommon for bees to hang out by the trashcans. If you encounter a bee, it is best to avoid eye contact and try not to make any 'your queen's so fat/ugly/smelly' jokes as they are easily riled and fully willing to take the first shot.
P.P.S. I've just found out that there will be a beard contest at 3:30PM on Saturday.
