Herro! So i have a question for ya'll, after ofcourse I have to ramble a bit.... I'll start by saying <3 dag, i never played(fought? well is a sport... hrm...) but would love to try it. I found it on my many hours of interwebing then later seen it on Tv and was ecstatic about it... I live in new orleans and visiting family in elkhart area and was curious if i could come visit for a practice or something to try this marvelous... activity!! So i guess, questions are: are practices for everyone to show up? are you guys going to be active any time between the 20th and the 25th of November? would my parent(s) need to be present during? I know some places of age limits, I am sixteen ;_; is that too young? Anywho i've talked enough, taken enough of your time.. if i missed something i was supposed to read i'm sorry

Sunday Nov. 21st is your best bet, granted if there is no snow, sleet, hail, or the like we will probably be outside.
Hopefully we will have an indoor location set up before too long as the winter tends to make us... lazy.
You will need your parents there with you and we will have some loaner stuff for you. Check back the week before
Unfortunately there are no groups near you, not even our retarded-2nd-cousin sport Voldemort

Sounds fantastic, thanks. Should i message someone the week before or make a forum post?
Unless something happens i'll be there!

Hi, it's good to see your enthusiasm. Sundays are our biggest practice days. We usually have about 20+ participants (weather permitting). Just drop another message on the forum here before you come out. We do have waivers for the game, and since you are under 18, one of your parents needs to sign it. dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Dagorhirwaiver.pdfIf you haven't had the opportunity yet, check out: www.dagorhir.com/dagorhir/Rules.htmIt will help you get into things a bit quicker if you have at least previewed the rules a bit. I look forward to meeting you.

Thanks for all the info guys ^^ i read the rules, all of them. I might bring a blue along i made to get a vet's opinion if thats all right.
Also~ on the note of the waiver i'm sure my parents will know all about it but so everything's clear I need to have that waiver notarized?
on a side note sorry for the slow reply I've been busy.

Good deal. Yeah, if you bring a weapon out, we will definitely check it for you. A couple things to note: Make sure you have a cloth cover if you want to use it. The cloth protects the foam from ripping and slapping when it hits. If you don't get the chance to sew one, socks or tights can make a good temporary cover. Also, freshly crafted weapons tend to strike a bit too hard until they get broken in, so after a day (if you used glue) beat on something a bit with it for a good 5 - 10 minutes. If one of your parents signs the waiver at the park and one of our veteran guys sees it happen, then we aren't really concerned about the notary. We just want to make sure that they are okay with you giving and taking a little foam covered abuse. If they have some general questions you can find some Dagorhir practice videos on YouTube. Like this one, www.youtube.com/watch?v=l8Hth0_MMBg, to give them an idea of what to expect. If they have more specific questions, feel free to pass them on to us here on the forum and we will try to answer them. And just so you know, Sunday practice have been running about 1 - 4 or 4:30 at Shoaff Park in Fort Wayne (6401 Saint Joe Rd, Fort Wayne, IN). When you come in the park, you can go straight or left, it doesn't matter because it is a loop. We practice about half way around. If you go left it will be right by the stop sign after the children's playground and splash pad.

Hello all! I'm Munrinn, Shaman for Vikingrinir. Most of you know me as Lexi. I've been gone for quite a while, but now that I'm all healed up I'm back at it and looking forward to seeing all of the new faces around.
It was fun seeing everyone out at the event this weekend!

Hallo NS.
I'm new to this sport, been to three practices. Two at IPFW and one at Franke. I've gotten hit in the head 15ish times.. so my new phrase might be "Not in the Face!"
If you see me, you can call me Felix or Red. Felix being the name I picked, and Red because of my hair.
I will do my best to listen to any suggestions to get better. I play hard and usual end up exhausted t the end of practice.
I hope to within the text four weeks(as of this post) to have basic Garb, my own sword and board, my own dagger(s), and my own Jav.

Hey, it's me Duke. The FB page seems to have stolen the thunder from this here site, but I'm going to post in it anyway.
Today marks my two year anniversary of playing Dagorhir. Thanks to everyone who has made it such an enjoyable experience.
