Just a reminder to the IPFW Club:
This Friday, 5:30 at the Williams Theater. will be a regular practice.
We will be building blues (swords/clubs). If you haven't built 2 or 3 blues on your own, it is strongly encouraged that you come and learn. Even if you don't plan on using a blue, knowing the fundamentals of building gear is important for reds and the bases of greens.
Knowing how to make your own equipment is an essential part of the Dagorhir game. Just like fighting, it takes some practice. You can buy gear, but it costs. Plus, some people take a little more satisfaction in doling out the beat downs with a handcrafted foam covered stick.
I believe Fury and Wulf will be running the workshop. I will be there as well unless other obligations take precedence.

I got a message from Fury yesterday that this Friday is the Theater's opening night...so I'm thinking this may be on hold. Don't hold me to that until he posts something though, until then, prepare for it to be a workshop! If we have to postpone, it will likely just be a regular fighting day.

Tuesday is fall break, so prolly just see about postponing a week until next Friday? We might even be able to do two days, so that we can do a workshop for clubs and swords on Thursday (I would have to come late though) and then so a second workshop on Friday for club and sword recap for anyone who couldn't go Thursday, and then buckler or dagger/javie/arrow for those who have already had the sword/club checked off their to-do list? I really don't want to combine workshops, but we could easily do them immediately after one another.
Maybe Duke could make it on Thursday at least until I get there? I really think we should have at least 2 officers there for these things at first, too, just because there's a larger amount of members this year, I don't want any one of us getting overwhelmed.
The big thing is that I don't want anyone who was at the build last month to think they necessarily are already wholly understood on how to build a blue, I want them all to actually attend one of the workshops for it before they move onto other weapons.
