So, with the new garb n such I plan to have next year and new direction my persona is moving in, I am pretty much just going to be using bracers and the kidney belt, eventually getting greeves and possibly a mantle.
I will be trying to sell the skirt to the guy that bought Milli's other piece, as I know he's interested in matching the set. That leaves the torso armor.
If you haven't seen it, since I barely got a chance to wear it aside from the 2009 Ragnarok, it is a leather tabbard-style chest/back/shoulder piece with copper rivets and skeletal rib-bone looking etchings. The piece has seen better days, but with a little cleanup and a couple rivets (whch I can provide) and maybe a little dye, it could easily be restored to pretty good condition.
The piece was originally for a rather large gentlemen who was not evenly proportioned. I took the sides in to make it fit me better, and created a padded cloth mantle to help fill out the oddness of the shape and protect my shoulders and underarms from the tendency of the leather to dig in and saw my skin even through multiple layers. The mantle is part of the package if desired.
With the resizing, I expect that without the mantle, the piece would fit someone with roughly a 40-42 suit size. With the mantle, it would probably work down to a 36-38, but anyone much skinnier might have trouble filling it out.
I purchased the piece used and unaltered for $100 3 years ago at Olympics, and I've been told it was a steal. Without any further care or alterations, I understand that the piece is not in the greatest shape, so I'm willing to part with it for $50. If you'd like assistance in refitting a new set of copper rivets, refinishing the piece, etc. I am willing to work with you; however, since the value of the final product with those modifications would far exceed what I paid for it, I'd want to bump the price up to $75 to cover my expenses - I'm sure any of the other armorers in our realm would likewise assist you (though, I think I'm the only one that has much experience working with the copper rivets, so they would likely want them all removed so they could replace them with steel, which I should be able to do with minimal scuffing to the armor)
If you're interested, post here or PM me. We can get together sometime over the winter and make arrangements.
