I'm not sure if it would be based on the studs alone, so i'd try to make sure it's thick enough. Where was it you found that particular one?

5.3.1. The minimum thickness for leather armor is 3/16 inch. The minimum thickness requirement can be achieved by layering several pieces of thin leather. From the Rules
Also my chest and greave/bracers are the same But the Rules dont say it in Oz. so i might be messing up i hope not

Alright... I hate to bud in but I've been working with leather now for 2 years, and I'm a member of the Tandy leather working guild.
7-8 ounce leather is like a good belt in thickness. I bought a 10 ounce shoulder a year ago and I still have it... why? Because you can't hardly cut it, fold it or rivet it. 12 once? I have no idea what you intend to cut it with, but it won't be a razor knife.
7-8 once is just fine... 5-6 is pleasent to work with, but won't likely pass and is too thin for the even the small rivets to set well. More than 8oz is going to be a pain to work with.
Don't you guys have a Tandy near you?

You're gonna hate me, O. Pretty much, your greaves and bracers are definately not thick enough. I've checked and re-checked my math, and I even found a chart that explains a bit better than I can...but... 1 oz. = 1/64" so... 12 oz. = 12/64" = 6/32" = 3/16" Leather Thickness Chart Your cuirass (torso) should be ok, or if it's not, it would only take some slight modification. That skirt thought should be fine, as long as the studs are steel. Please don't kill me......

Osricmacrath, your 7-8 oz armor is going to be peachykeen... don't sweat it. You're going to like it and it will be totally legal. fret not. At that weight it's good stuff.

I don't think mine is "legal" but I've never had anyone question it. No worries mate.
