I have also taken the liberty of searching for some deals on the net. www.bestdagstuff.com has some pretty wicked deals including the new option of arsenals. Arsenals are the materials are already precut and all you have to do is assemble them. All the materials are made from premium stuff like fiberglass and evalite. Interesting enough the the "storm of swords" aresenal gives you enough materials to make 10 swords with stabby tips for $209.00 dollars before shipping. The site says that it costs about 350 for all these materials seperatley. www.bestdagstuff.com/category.sc?categoryId=8just a good thought ps. here is some more info on these kits To see how it works, here’s a breakdown on the Armor-Crushing Arsenal. 3 Spear Kits Reg Price $15 each 5 Two Handed Swords Reg Price $45 each 2 Single Sided Glaives Reg Price $45 each Sold separately this many kits would cost $360! Additional glues and tapes* would cost about $43, and bandshope poles cores for the spears and glaives would be about $72 with shipping. That totals to $475 for 10 weapons if bought separately. When you get the Armor Crushing Arsenal you’ll get all 10 kits for just $279 and we’ll throw in the tape! That means for just $279 (+$86 for the glues and cores) you can make 10 weapons that retail for over $700!!!** Other packages include A Rain of Arrow (120 Modular Arrow Heads) and a Storm of Swords (10 swords).

Don't forget this is a full theater stage design studio.
We can make anything way cheaper than anyone out for a profit, even in a package. A few strips of foam and you buy your own cores for that kind of cash is not great.
I can see a lot more people trying the sport after the reaction we got at the food festival. I can see a lot more than 5 people wanting to give it a try if we do this on the right time of day. We have to follow the proposed budget that I asked for input on 4 months ago.
But YA ,we can still limit gear to the newest of people so no one depends on its usage, and push for them to make their own. We will have a locker on campus to put it all in, except for the pole arms.
Where do you find EVA cheaper than blue?

Wallmart Blue 20 rolls is $120 ish (no tax)
This is the best pricing I can find how much EVA do you think we need for loaner gear?
1/2" - 12" - 12" 8.05 1/2" - 47" - 29" 31.76 3/4" - 12" - 12" 10.68 3/4" - 47" - 29" 43.35 1" - 12" - 12" 12.63 1" - 47" - 29" 55.33
This is a great site, wish I knew more about what kind of foam is good to build with, a total "create a foam"
Our standard shields are $50 :/

Well the blue is 1/4in thick, so 1/2in would be the rough equivalent to 2 layers and 3/4in would be close to the traditional 3 layers. Depending on how you build them, you could potentially get ~15-20 sword blades from the 3/4 - 47'' x 29'' for $43.35.
I would stick to blue foam for the shields though and only use eva for weps.

k so the 20 rolls can make 8 shields at 5 layers and a pack of EVA that can make.. uh.. 15 blades, Rowan said he wanted all clubs but im sure you can use a layer spiral to make a club with a bit more so 15 is a good guess. 8 clubs 5 blades a red maybe, 8 shields Soon as wallmart comes through ill put in an order for this stuff. I dont think any marine foam can beat 1.5in x 16ft x 24ft for $120 Cores: do we want 1/2''PVC then or the grey fiberglass rods? Mix of both? one rod or 2 at 28in ? PVC is cheaper but rods wont break still have $300+ after the foam (Dont troll me these are estimates we dont pay tax) 2 Gal of woodweld $50 15 yards of blue cloth $25-45 20 rolls of white grip tape $20 4 rolls duct tape $20 4 1/2in PVC 8ft $5 T joints $5 5 FGlass rods $5 bunch of rope $10 new fan $40 Total $200 $100 left for shipping, spears, and ? Thats $400 for 15 blues + 8 shields with everything included but the labor that should retail for over $1,500!!! I'll call it the "Fury's bundle of woe!" The only down side is I have to put up the cash then get reimbursed and im not even getting paid
