They would probably both get Duke-d on the field, but I guess I'll toss my vote for the centurion because he is a professional soldier.

i wouldnt count the rajput out, even though the centurions are well known warriors. The Rajput were like the spartans, trained at birth and trained all there life in the art of war. They also have some pretty sweet looking weapons.

Unlike the Spartans, I've never heard of them. Also, they don't have an awesome sci-fi game's super-soldier named after them.
I'm giving the edge, to the Roman.

I'm giving it to the Rajput for 2 reasons. The Centurion, though elite in the realm of warfare and leading armies, and though quite brave, would have had less technology available to him. The Rajput would have better steel to slice with and tough chain armor to defend his vitals. The Rajput would also be a skilled spearman, able to keep the Roman at bay for awhile before engaging in close quarters with his scimitar.
The second reason I give it to the Rajput is the ethos. While the centurion would no doubt be brave and and filled with the quest for victory for the Empire, the Rajput would fight to the bitter end to win at all costs, much like a samurai, whereas at some point, the Roman may feel it time to cut his losses and run.
And yes, Osric, the +5 mustache adds to the Rajput's intimidation factor, just ask Oron. ;-)

You are using WAY too much logic Capt'm. All those points have been proven as dismissible in previous episodes.
Roman has big shield and a larger spear point, which makes a bigger hole, which makes the Raja more dead. Point, to the Centurion.

But it's so much fun to sit and argue about! Terrible show to watch on it's own accord but IMMENSE group value, heh .
