So, I know there's prolly a few of us besides me looking to take this winter season as an opportunity to try to get some strength training in, tone up a bit, maybe build a little muscle, and all in all just reduce the potential for injuries this spring and summer, as well as during those random sparring sessions and practices this winter when the weather is horribly cold and the risk of injury increases. Therefore, I've found a great site with some great tips and exercises that can be done from home with minimal equipment to get us all started on the road to becoming super studs like Bishop. :-P Enjoy: www.mydr.com.au/default_new.asp?Article=2354

Ask Loren about "shovel-gloving"...yes, I know it sounds odd, but the technique seems fundamentally sound and has worked for her so far.

Hmmmm, very interesting stuff. I googled it. Sledgehammer training, sounds quite viable. I used to swing one around for fun and thing "man, this would be a good workout" so I can definitely see where he's coming from. Also, his whole "No S Diet" thing is pretty much what I ended up doing over the last year or so, which is how I lost so much weight.
If he came up with pretty much the ideal diet that coincides nearly 100% to the one I devised after years of trying and trying all sorts of different things and doing so much research to find the right way to lose that durn extra baggage, I'm sure his "shovelglove" program must be equally effective. I think I may try it. :-)
