(OOC: Thought this would be a nice variation of the Forest Gifts story.[Yes Inspired by such] Mostly for those who felt like starting a bit of role play inside of a city more than a forest. Again, nothing formal, just some "practice" RP I suppose.)
Sitting in a darker corner of the tavern, Shadow sat wrapped in his surcoat while keeping warm from the nearby fire that blazed. Peering over his mug, he spied about the room for danger while he sipped his drink. A few men sat about the vast room that could have held about three dozen men. Some were smoking, some drinking, others playing cards along with other various activities.
Suddenly, the hair on the back of Shadow's neck stood on end. In seconds, a figure stepped in to the tavern from the dark summer night.

Renfrew hummed a small tune as he walked down the street. He was smiling to himself as he admired his new hat. It was black with red stitching and a few brightly colored feathers on top. He giggled as he set it on his head and did a jump. He quickly caught the hat when it fell off and composed himself. He must act natural. He must act like a man. Renfrew quickly straighted up his shoulders and strutted. He glanced around this new town and found the tavern. Sounded like a manly place to be.
As soon as Renfrew entered the room he immediately felt out of place. His bright red tunic and blue pants clashed with everyone else's dark colors. He grabbed his hat off his head and held it with both hands, hoping nobody would notice it. He took a deep breath, shoved his beloved hat tenderly into his man bag and nodded at the guys playing cards. His face had a tough look on but he was slightly terrified inside.
Renfrew sat down by himself at a table and ordered ale when the barmaid came over. When he got it, he found that there was a creature in the corner, the darkest corner. Renfrew shook his head, he must be an ugly creature. He giggled to himself but quickly covered it up with a manly cough.

A man sat at a table, playing with and licking his empty mug, wishing it had something in it. The man was a small fellow, and croaching over the table displayed his poor posture. He wasn't much of a people pleaser, not caring for humans very much. Instead he preferred objects that couldn't talk back to or yell at him.
He liked various things, outside mostly, such as trees and dead rabbits. Sometimes even a live one, that is, until he killed it. But he didn't think that it was dead, just sleeping.
One of his main possesions was his sacred javlien. He carelessly left it on the floor under the table while he was drinking, but at all other times kept it by his clutches, protecting it.
He took a moment from licking his mug to look up to see another man, just recovering from a cough, dressed in bright and pretty clothes. He wanted to go say hi and admire his nice clothes, but as he got up, he stumbled on the moving floor and smashed into a wall and yelled, "GAEVAI!"

As Renfrew had entered the tavern, Shadow relaxed slightly after sensing that the man knew he was a bit out of place. As the man coughed slightly, it seemed he was trying to hide something.
"Be careful. Any word spoken, even under breath, is a dangerous one." Dengrave whispered inside of Shadow. Slowly, Shadow sat his mug down and slid his hand down his side making sure nobody had noticed. He grasped the hilt of his left blade that was hidden beneath his surcoat on his right side. This was sign enough to Dengrave that Shadow was ready.
As Shadow had gotten one of his weapons ready, a strange looking man had gotten up and stumbled from his chair, seeming to have tripped over something. He seemed drunk especially after shouting something unfamiliar to Shadow. Tensing his forearm, Shadow stood up and began slowly stepping into the darkness toward the wall, looking for what the man could have tumbled over.
It eluded Shadow's sight as his trained eyes searched every inch of what the man could have tripped upon. After a short time, he gave credit to the man just being drunk. As some men playing cards quickly looked over to see what the problem was, one stood up.

As Orli rose from his first game of cards to see what everyone was looking at. He vaguely remembered a weird fellow yelling at the wall. Shaking his head in disappointment he thought to himself, 'Probably the kids first drink...'
As he sat back down he noticed a lot of new figures in the tavern that must be new to town (or at least he had not seen them before).
This was a rare occasion for Orli to do something besides sit in the corner. He would normally sit there relaxed, thinking of the harsh days he had spent in the mountains.
As Orli dazed off again, thining of his past, something stirred behind him. He froze instantly, waiting for another movement.

Not noticing a thing, Rowan is asleep... snoreing at the bar.

Orli jumped and turned around, hand on his sword, only to see the normal goer at the bar, Rowan, who was snoaring and seemed to have fallen asleep, again, with his beard in his ale. As Orli took a deep breath to calm his nerves, he noticed that half his drink was gone. He didn't recall drinking any of it prior to the incident, so he looked around the table at the other players.

As the figure had risen from the table, Shadow relaxed. The face was familiar. He let his sword rest back in its place at his side under his surcoat. Still unnoticed, Shadow whisked silently past a few men who had been smoking, nodded as to not be impolite, and sat at an empty chair by the table in which the men had been playing cards at.
Knowing his friend was nervous, Shadow decided to lighten his mood by drinking a bit of his ale. Taking it and pouring the rest into a empty mug for himself, until Orli had only half a glass of ale. Eventually, Orli noticed after being slightly jittery at the sight of the large man at the bar.
Looking up from his sitting position, Shadow couldn't help but let one side of his mouth crook up-wards. As soon as Shadow had made eye contact with his old acquaintance, the hair's on his neck stood on end once again.
"I've been here two weeks, and I'm still nervous about their coming..." Shadow thought. "This had better be them"

Orli, relieved to see his old friend, comments, "Ahh, my old friend, where was the last time we met? Angmar mountains? Oh, so much has happened since then, let me buy you a drink for my glass is near empty!"
Orli sees the man's glass is about the same level and makes the connection. "Wait, maybe you should be the one buying them! What brought you upon theses harsh lands?"

Chuckling, Shadow is glad his friend is relieved. It had been quite some time since they last had talked, let alone in a more civilized situation. Still nervous about the place, Shadow decided to blend in with the small group of people there. Shadow motioned the barmaid over, and order a new ale for Orli. Taking two small coins from a pouch under his surcoat, he handed them to the barmaid. Shadow began to stroke the coarse white hair of his chin.
"Oh not much, I'm here to... well," Shadow paused to think of the right words, " settle a proposition."
Attempting to relax, Shadow signaled to the card dealer to deal a new hand. Peering between some of the men still looking over at the man who had stumbled, Shadow noticed out of the corner of his eye the man who had entered the tavern stir.

Orli began to think his friend was in some sort of questionable business so he stayed intrigued to the conversation, "What sort of business propostion are you maiking? Do you need any help?" Orli peered around the room, while talking to Shadow, to see the peculiar drunkard again.

Renfrew sauntered over to the card table, his drink in his hand. He noticed that he was walking normal, so he quickly straightned out his shoulders and cleared his through. He slammed his tankard down on the table, ale sloshing out of the cup. He winced but kept his character.
"Deal me in," he glanced over at the other guys there and his eyes caught on a white haired man. He smiled shyly to himself as he sat down, his head bowed down so no one can see. That boy was cute.

Catching Orli's eye looking toward the large man at the bar, Shadow heard the scrape of the chair as Renfrew sat down.
Etchy as usual, Shadow began to become nervous. Dengrave quickly took over, sensing his owner's body tense. Seeming as if nothing had changed Dengrave reached around behind his hand and scratch his neck to null his annoyance of switching between occupancy and control; it had always sent the body's nerves jittery when took over.
Quickly stabilizing, Dengrave sensed the presence of those he was to meet. "Pardon me fellows, but I do believe I have heard the arrival of my... business proposition... outside." Dengrave said with only slight nervousness, hoping they would think his elven hearing let him know. Yet, no noise had been made by the arrival of this business partner.
After excusing himself, Dengrave stood Shadow's body up, and began to walk toward the door, and pulling his hood up as he went out the door. Upon exiting, his bracer began to softly grow a deep, bloody red.
"Hello good fellow." Dengrave manipulated Shadow's tongue, not even looking at the fellow who had noiselessly snuck up to the doorway of the tavern, which was only a few paces behind Dengrave and Shadow's body.
(OOC: Anybody willing to help me pick this up? Sorry I've been missing RP quite a bit. Even if your character is already in, you can still respond from inside the tavern and do whatever, or be somebody on the outside. Will remove this remark upon next person posting.)

**From the darkened corner Sadera sat quietly, sipping on a golden rimmed glass of cognac. Her brow raised to see to see the man sleeping at the bar so peacefully. Violet eyes rimmed with flecks of liquid silver glanced to the man who seemed to be nervously conversating. He didn't seem himself and she decided to watch him a bit closer. She sat up straighter, the laces on her corset dragging the chair with a soft metal sound, (The tips were dipped in silver). Her pale red lips pursed gently and she decided that this could infact be a most intriging night after all. Maybe the sisters fate took a leave of absence on their jolly jousting of her messed up life at the moment. She stood to her full height of 5'9'' and lined her eyes with the Nervous Man, smirking to herself amusedly.**
