This is something in general that I think needs to be addressed.
First off the general rule of thumb around the NS and LBTL as a whole is that you should hit hard and take light. This way there is no arguement. If you like to take hard hits but go to a realm that takes grazes, you will be viewed as a cheater since you aren't adhering to the rules. If you hit hard then those that take light and hard hits wont have any problem taking your hits and you don't feel like someone is blowing off your hits.
Secondly, how to deal with a someone that isn't taking your hits. First thing is that sometimes people miss hits which is different then blowing them off, maybe you swung late, maybe they were wearing armor, maybe they didnt feel it, maybe there is a ton of nuts going on around you. Either way if it is a consistent behavior, tell one of us in charge and we will observe the individual. If we feel it is continuing, we will let them know and give them a warning. You get two warnings and your 3rd strike, if you're gonna cheat, then we wont let you fight. Now you as a normal fighter you have several options. The first and best option is to not get angry and let them ruin your good time, but to hit them more cleanly and slightly more solid so that they know they got hit. Second, you dont fight them. Under no circumstances are you to swing for the fences and try to hurt them to make them take your hits...this pisses everyone off.
Lastly, for the most part people know when they hit you. They can feel it in their weapon, they can hear they can see it. Don't blow off hits, it makes you look like a cheater and worse off, it makes you look like a cheater in a foam stick fight. Everyone has gone through their rhino-hiding stage. It happens. Recognize it, change it.
