Welcome the Village of Huntington to the Renaissance Era with a loud cheer! Our countrymen to the west are going to be holding their first (hopefully annual) festival to celebrate this joyous occasion and I am currently negotiating diligently to ensure that the Northern Steppes are there to welcome them with open arms & bloody weapons!
I am going to be negotiating over the next couple of weeks. Not quite sure where the Dagorhir group fits into this quite yet, but keep your ears open & your eyes sharp for further details.

According to their pdf document they are lacking entertainment. Try using the angle of Entertainment with possible audience participation above a certain age. But, of course they will have to sign a Dag waiver.
I see this as a great PR event.

I think the biggest question for them after if we can be apart of it would be what kind of dress-code. If it's a renfaire we may need some good/decent looking garb

Speaking with past experience from the Danville Ren Faire last year that Myself, Fury, Ma'as and Hammer attended and helped out Middle arth with their Dag demo, I can give a bit of insight to what would be expected.
Until we find out set details, this is only an idea of what would be happening, but it at least gives us something to base off of.
Performing: Dagorhir is a combat sport, we all know this. That alone sets us apart from the "Living History" groups that tend to gather at Ren Faires. Looking on the current list, it seems that the only combat group planning on being there now is a live steel group. While this kind of thing is fun to watch, you have to keep in mind that it's all choreographed and they don't let the audience participate. That's something else that sets us apart.
For most of the time there, it would be like a normal practice/event, battles running, hanging out, etc. Naturally, people hitting each other full force will draw spectators, and it's never a bad idea to get the vets together and bring in a group of spectators and let them give it a try, provided the event organizers are ok with this.
Garb: Ren Faires are a place for non-coms (non combatants) to show off their toys, get all dressed up, and parade around looking spiffy. Very rarely will you see someone in what Dagorhir considers noob garb (As far as the performers are concerned, the general public doesn't count). Because of this, you would want to strive for veteran level garb or better. Not talking about feast gear here, as you don't want to fight in that, obviously.
Obviously I don't know exactly what is going to happen or how it will work. Hope this helps a bit.

I know when I talked to the guy running it last year, He wanted us to do a few different things.
1) Fight for 15 min every hour as a demo. 2) Let others fight us and have fun. 3) Run a "jail and bail".
We would have to be in "Rough and Mercenary" looking clothing. We would all get along and make new banners or whatever. Calling ourselves the Northern Steppes Mercenary Company. We would have a fighting area, and then a chill area where we talk to people and "sell" dag to those interested.

They never messaged me back the times I've tried to get ahold of them. I will be working the event at a merchant booth though.

I am working with these guys and have some more info. Yes they are looking for people to populate the fair but they cannot let us fight until we get liability insurance. Ain't that a pain

Just a heads up to all who are going to this. If you havn't hit up Google maps, know that while you are on 24 West, you can take a left on Meridian Road a little before you get to the exits for Huntington. Take Meridian to Riverside Drive and turn right. Riverside Drive goes right past the PAL complex where the festival is being held. This will save you from backtracking through the town of Huntington.
